Welcome to the Multicultural Education Group (MEG) – a community-driven organization with a passion for cultural enrichment and diversity.

Founded in 2014, MEG (formerly Multicultural Education Outreach Foundation M.E.O.F.) is fueled by the dedication of our organizing committee, a group of volunteers from the vibrant Elgin and surrounding areas. Our roots lie in a simple yet powerful goal: providing our children with an immersive and enjoyable journey into the heart of culture and heritage. We believe in fostering knowledge and appreciation in a structured, safe, and engaging manner.

At the core of our initiatives is our renowned two-week summer camp. This annual event is more than just a camp; it's an exploration into the depth of the language, history, arts, crafts, dance, and the excitement of field trips. Originally designed to connect the younger generation with  cultural roots, the camp has evolved into a melting pot of diverse experiences, uniting participants from various backgrounds.

As we continue to grow, MEG has expanded its horizons beyond the borders of Lao culture. We proudly embrace a broader spectrum, incorporating other cultures and collaborating with diverse organizations. This expansion is a testament to our commitment to fostering understanding, respect, and unity among communities.

MEG is more than an organization; it's a collective effort to create a harmonious and inclusive society. Join us on this enriching journey of cultural exploration and education. Together, let's build bridges that connect communities and celebrate the rich tapestry of our diverse world.
